Windows 8 Upgrade PathMicrosoft support for Windows XP ended on April 8th 2014. This means there will no security updates for the Windows XP operating system; leaving PCs vulnerable to malware, spyware and other malicious software. With no monthly operating system updates to protect against new viruses, anyone using Windows XP could be exploited by cyber threats, such as the heavily publicised Gameover Zeus and Cryptolocker malware currently hitting the headlines. The National Crime Agency believe more than 15,000 computers in the UK have already been infected with the Gameover Zeus virus, capable of stealing personal information, bank details and passwords.
Upgrading to a Microsoft supported operating system protected by anti-virus is vital to maintaining the security of your business. Windows 8.1 is the latest version of Windows.
